Everyday Adventure ...
We believe in preparing young people with skills for life. Each week, we offer Fun and Adventure for boys and girls aged 6 to 14 while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future.
We do this through a programme of activities and events which train the young people, through active involvement, in teamwork, leadership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts and Guides become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians. We help young people develop and improve key life skills.
We aim to ensure that every member enjoys the Everyday Adventure that Scouting and Guiding has to offer. This could be a 6 year old Beaver Scout taking part in his first night away, a Cub Scout enjoying her first weekend camp in a tent, or a 13 year old Scout reaching the top of his first mountain. Climbing, abseiling, camping, kayaking, canoeing, archery, hiking, expeditions and survival skills are just a small selection of the activities you can do in Scouting.
